ABOUT US

Whitehouse Kennels was established over 20 years ago by Chris and Brian King and their two sons Bev and Jerry. Sadly Brian passed away on the 29th July, 2006 and is greatly missed by all of the family and many, many friends.

The kennels was an obvious move for a family that opened the first licensed zoo in Somerset from the grounds of their hotel and bred and showed Samoyeds!

Extensive improvements have been made to the kennels over the last 20 years to provide the best holiday facilities for your pet and you are very welcome to visit and look around.

We are located in a rural area yet only minutes away from the M5, A370 and A38. The kennels employs over 10 staff many who have been with us for over 10 years and have extensive experience in small animal care.

We have our own pet travel consultant, a daily visiting veterinary practice and a specialised vehicle for transportation.

We operate a kenneling service for North Somerset Council.

Our hard work and commitment to providing the very best in animal care has enabled us to provide the kennelling services for two Local Authorities and several breed rescue organisations.

We are also the homing centre for the RSPCA for cats, dogs and small animals for North Somerset and these services are provided in separate facilities from the main boarding block with specialist staff.

Out staff lecture on the Btec National Diploma in Animal Management at the local college and are in partnership with the college to provide supervised work experience for the students.
