THE DIARY OF SEAMUS HULL AGED 7 AND THREE QUARTERS!

Wednesday 27 April 2005

Busy day today Dad had to go in early and he woke me up before I was ready. It was ok though because when I got in Jerry said I look tired so I went and had a lie down.

At about ten Jerry came round with a drink and biscuits and I then went out to play. I made a new friend today his name is Dean and he is three.

We had lots of fun but I did get worn out so I had another nap in the afternoon straight after lunch.

I woke up about three as Dean was calling me to come out and play again. When dad came for me at five I showed him I was worn out so managed to carry me to the car.

Good old dad!

Must go now as dad has got my tea ready.

Dad said that I need to run around a bit more and get some proper exercise yippee..!  he's taking me to the common by the river I just love getting wet although dads not too happy if I go into the mud and get really messy so he'll try and keep me away from the river..

Oh. there's my friend Poppy the collie, she's a nice girl but a bit dim as she keeps running around after a ball and fetches it back, only for her owner to throw it away again.. - I know, I'll help her..

"NO" oops sounds like dad knows what I 'm planning.. I'll just put my ear flaps down and brain into neutral ie. Setter Mode.  "STOP HIM he'll take the ball into the river!" I don't understand all the noise but people have joined into the game.. but I'm too fast for them and have the ball.. now which way to the river?

"DON'T follow him, he'll take into the water and drop it "  - "He's costing me a fortune in replacement balls"

Looking back through the long grass I see poppy  sitting by her owners feet just looking up and the people are just standing around not playing the game..
well ok then, down the bank and hide for a few minutes

"He must be in the water"  "OR the mud!".. this is soo boring where is everyone? Back on the common nothing has changed.. wait.. Dad looks happy to see me and is waving.. I run as fast as I can (must start training again) and drop the ball at his feet, dad makes a fuss and give me a biscuit.. Not such a bad game after all !!

PS. I wonder if there are any pen pals out there who would like to write to me ?
