Over the past 10 years Whitehouse Kennels and cattery has been looking after stays and injured and abandoned dogs. Some are lucky enough to be reunited with their owners. The credit crunch hasn’t only hit us humans but it appears to have affected the dogs too! More and more owners are abandoning their dogs and more dogs than ever are looking for new homes. and has been organised to promote the dogs looking for new homes and to raise money for food, shelter and any veterinary help they may need. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, 14 February, 2009 from 12:00 to 14:00 together with the strays looking for new homes, strays who have found homes, children with their pets and obedience demonstrations. We hope the walk will provide fun and entertainment for the entire family.
Mission Statement
Whitehouse Kennels and Cattery was established in 1988 and is dedicated to promoting and supporting the health and care of animals. We have worked with the RSPCA and many breed rescue groups rehoming their cats and dogs for over 17 years and more recently local councils with their stray dog’s reholming when the owner does not come back for them. In addition we try to promote awareness of the value of animals in individual’s lives and the special bonds that exists between kids and animals. SOS is about raising awarenness of the importance of maintaining the non destruction policy in North Somerset for the strays and raising money to help provide shelter food and veterinary care for the unwanted dogs looking for new homes. The money from the walk will be distributed amongst the local animal charities including RSPCA, Dogs Friends and Holly Hedge Sanctuary.

SOS Dog Walk 2009 - Info

The SOS Dog Walk is a fun, fit activity for anyone who has ever loved an animal or wished they could help needy animals in our community.  Participants will be raising funds to benefit local dog charities including the RSPCA, Dogs Friends and Holly Hedge Santuary.
All donations directly help needy animals in our community so no amount is too small.   Help make our first walk a terrific success for SOS.  The more contributions you raise, the more successful we’ll be at achieving our missions.  Thank you so very much!

The Rules -  Please Read Carefully!

All forms available at www.whitehouse-kennels.co,uk for downloading or for snail mailed forms contact enquiries@p-e-t-s.co.uk or call 01934 750352. Registration is free for furry walkers. For companions £3 or free if sponsorship monies are greater than £10.  Register the day of the walk at 12:00 at the entrance to the beach at Uphill or pre-register by mailing the form and cheques (payable to Brian king memorial fund) to Whitehouse Kennels and Cattery North Road Lympsham Weston-super-Mare by February 10.

All donations are due the day of the walk and cheques should be made payable to Brian King Memorial Fund.  Participants may choose which SOS organization to benefit from their collected donations.  After all donations are tallied, SOS will send a cheque for the grand total collected for each member organization.  The ENTIRE amount of collected donations will go directly to the organizations listed on the form.

Registration begins at 12:00 at the entrance to the beach at Uphill.

Please keep dogs on a short leash and under control at all times. Vaccinations should be up to date. No dogs in season. Please clean up after your dog. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
